![]() ![]() I am learning as go along, i am making mistakes then having to correct them later on in the project, but I am absolutely loving this project, my wife not so much with the noise and the dust everywhere, she also wants this project finished as soon as possible for those reasons alone!! lol. I am sure you guys have sent numerous samples out to people with the promise of reviews that never happen or are not to your standard, and the sample is probably sitting in a box in the guys bedroom or already been sold on ebay or gumtree, I can assure you this would not happen here as with out these parts the project as a whole would not happen, and as you can see from the forum link i posted above I have already done a lot of work on this project. I hope to have the case finished within a month or so, though i do have a holiday booked and it may clash with that timescale.Īs some of you who read my last post i got swindled out of a CPU which i was going to use in this build so things have not got off to a great start, but doing this case project has helped take my mind off that and let me push forward, the list of parts i will need are almost endless and i will get them eventually, but what I would really like to happen is if the PR and marketing friends I have on my list here on linkedin could find it in their hearts to sponsor this project with components in return for acknowledgements on all the social media posts about this build and links to the components they donate, I already have a system information device supplied by GOVerlay and will be unboxing and reviewing this for them. To boot a PowerMac (or an iMac, iBook, eMac, etc. Let me know if you know anyone who sells these ATX conversion kits cheaper than 70. Short of replacing the entire insides of a Power Mac G5 it really wont work. ![]() Here is the link to one of the forums i am posting on at the moment. ![]() So I have started my very first case mod, i am converting an Apple powermac G5 to run with ATX mainboard and i7 cpu, I have already started posting progress pictures on apple modding forums and will be updating them periodically as well as showcasing the finished product on my youtube channel and various facebook PC case modding groups. ![]()
